I'm still fairly new to Vue.js , and I was reading the docs, specifically about props and one-way-down bindings. They mention that JS objects and arrays are passed by reference, so mutating these types of props within child components will affect parent state.
I've always been used to emitting an event on the child component then listening from the parent and handling the data mutation that way. Is it bad practice to mutate object or array props directly within child components, or are there specific use cases?
