Recommended Go Hosting Provider

Hi, guys I've been learning Go since last week and I've been wondering where to deploy it as a backend. I know about Heroku but I've yet to find other solutions for further comparison.

What hosting provider do you recommend?

Google App Engine has a large free tier. I would recommend it. But it really depends on where you store your data. If you need a SQL database, it changes everything in terms of pricing. If you can work with a "NoSQL" database, then Google App Engine offers Google Datastore which is also has a free tier. To make a meaningful recommandation, we'd need to know a bit more about the project, the expected load, the datastore you use, etc.

If you don't want to manage your own server, look at Heroku (that you already mentioned), Google App Engine, Clever Cloud, Scalingo, and maybe Apex Up. If you want to manage your own server, you could look at Digital Ocean (which is a bit simpler than Amazon EC2 or Google Compute Engine).
